I had this surgery several years ago. I hated the procedure b/c I was swallowing a lot of blood and I couldn't wait til the ENT Dr. was finished. He told me that I wouldn't produce as much mucous, but I still do and my breathing is only slightly better than it was before the surgery.

Hi: I've always been afraid of public speaking too. Have you tried anti-depressants for anxiety or Xanax? Xanax works great for me when my anxiety gets really bad. I also take Lexapro for general anxiety. It helps somewhat. I hope you find something that will work for you. Sue

What are your symptoms? Have you seen a Dr? When my anxiety is bad, I feel like there's a motor running on my insides. I feel very agitated, my blood pressure goes up, I start sweating and have an awful fear. Does that sound like what you have?

It shouldn't be hard going off of 5 mgs. of Lexapro. You could try taking it every other day for a week or 2, then every 3rd day, etc. I've read of withdrawals from larger doses of Lexapro, but I don't think you'll have a problem. Best of luck to you.

I've been taking 20 mgs. of Prozac at 10 pm and feel very groggy in the mornings. I think I'll start taking it at 7 pm too and see if that helps. The Prozac has really helped my anxiety, but I've been feeling some depression since taking it and I think it's it's made me so tired.

Why don't you see a Dr. to put your mind at ease? He or she will run tests to rule out different diseases. It's better than worrying about all those symptoms you have. I hope you get good news from the Drs.

Anything is possible, but in my case, Xanax relieves my headaches.

A lot of Drs. won't prescribe Xanax, unfortunately. I went to a shrink once and as soon as I sat down he told me he only prescribes anti-depressants for anxiety. Luckily, the Internist I'm seeing prescribes a small dose of Xanax for me. I hope you find some in Dallas who will prescribe it for...
