needs a good old service might be anything to do with the headset to the forks themselves...take it apart and have a look whats wrong...if you dont know how to then take it to your local shop and have them do it...not expensive to do at all :)

you my friend, are trying to achieve the impossible it will almost certainly be the bike ride from hell but, if youre adamant about it, then take some low energy foods that they like so theyll be more inclined to snooze... 22 miles for a decent cyclist wouldnt take too long, for a load of middle...

put risers on it...on mtbs they work like a charm =D
