It does, but it's not just the title that draws the reader. It's the book cover and the blurb on the back. :)

It means her features are gaunt, she is pale and seemingly lifeless (no pink in her cheeks which signals blood flow) and her hair clouding around her neck and shoulders means it's either frizzy or elegant and volumous.
