I have noticed in a lot of British tv shows and movies that there are male nudity. But in the USA you don't see a guy's bare bum but instead a woman's nude body. why is that? in one show from UK there was a naked man and a woman in her undies and lacy top.

I'm reading a fictional novel and there was a scene there where the guy's friend took the salt shaker from the restaurant and claimed to borrow it since he'll bring it back. Well the guy insists it's stealing. It's stealing right? I know this sounds like a no brainer question but humor me lol
