The first thing you need to look for is the carrier. Don't pick the phone until you know which carrier has the best signal where you plan to use it, where you live, work, travel and play.

I'd go with X1 if gotta have it now-now-now, but if you're willing to wait, the next crop of Android phones are gonna be sweer. The G1 is old hat. I like the X1's 3" 800x480 screen too along with the 3.5mm jack. :)
