I'm trying to decide which software to purchase. What limitations does Aperature have that photoshop provides?

I want to incorporate a slideshow of photographs into my website opening page. I have software that will let me create a .flv flash video. I think there is a way to do this but I don't want to use youtube and have some tacky logo in the corner. Thanks!
