If you lie, and you get messed up in basic training and they find out you go to federal prison for 2 years, get $50,000 fine and dishonorable discharge. Plus im sure meps would find out immeditately if you have arthitus and couldnt move your legs right.

Im in the same boat, the military is a very perfect (or near-perfect) option for you. My word of advice would be to pick the Air Force, as they're more technical base and would give you a better career. Go for something in electronics. But yes if you're looking for a sense of "self-discovery"...

I believe it's an out-patient surgery, but how long does it take. Can I go back to enlisting in the military? How long does it take to heal-up COMPLETELY before Im cleared?
