    My iPhone 3G silent switch stopped working, now permanently in silent mode - need help!?

    I have a iPhone 3G with OS Version 4.2.1. Its "silent" switch" stopped working and it is now permanently in "silent mode". Is there a way to by pass this switch without any jail-breaking techniques? I need to turn the ringer sound; I am ok if the ringer becomes permanently ON. Please help!
