My point was that I have used both, hate both, but would still much prefer the N82's keypad. At the very least, you could get used to it because it still gave decent feedback, despite the odd shape of each key.

I'd say it's possible, but you'd get a very pronounced "Viewmaster" effect, where things look like cardboard cutouts, that most people find offputting.
