I have a guy friend who has complained about his ex wife being a nasty b*tch. Whenever me or his gf have said anything about his ex wife, he gets defensive. He's the one who was complaining about her in the first place! Why do you think this is? Thanks in advance.

I would email him now and tell him about what happened to your fiance. Just take it slow and tell him as much as you feel comfortable telling him. If he's a great guy he will be understanding and supportive of you.
