you use the pole to knock the fruit out of the tree. and this wouldn't be considered throwing something at it.

I'm going for a week and i already have packed the obvious (shorts, shirts, underwear, tennis shoes, toothbrush...) is there any specific not so obvious items that would be helpful/good to bring?
