I will only be able to enjoy my trip for 2 days, should I bring my bike to ensure I get to see more stuff?

I am visiting Washington, DC soon and would like to know if its in my best interest to bring a bicycle. I want to see as much as possible in the limited time I have. Is it a bike-friendly city? (places to park & lock, safe to ride on walks...etc)?
