They can be married or living together and one of them either has a low-paying job or doesn't work at all. Should the main money earner be the one who makes financial decisions as it's mainly their own money?

I don't have much confidence and find it hard to start conversations with men as I don't want them to be bored with what i'm talking about. What's a good conversation starter with men and what type of subjects do they prefer to talk about?
