Anybody knows what I'd need to build a home studio to record music and make beats? I was thinking of either getting Pro Tools or Sonar but I'm still a little confused at what I'd need to completely be able to record and make music like the equipment needed.

I'm trying to make a home studio but not sure on what exactly to get. like for example: -Type of mic -Recording program (I'm considering Sonar X1) And anything else I'd need.
