Since the apple is a metaphor for a guy(we shall call him Steve) then what ever happened to Steve? Did God destroy him liked he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah?

I thoroughly enjoyed the Aeneid. I could really feel for Aeneas and his sense of duty/piety as well as all that he had to go through to create find a homeland for his people. The author uses metaphors effectively, and thus enriches the imagery for the reader. Bible is rather awkwardly cobbled...
