As a major classic Disney fan, my obvious answer is Black Cauldron. It was one of Disney's darker films but it was incredibly well-done. The Horned King was an excellent villain. And a fun fact, his design was the original design for Maleficent. ;)

They did blur the female villain's exposed nipples near the end of Dead Leaves, for all the good that did.

Interesting to note that DVD was in full-frame at 1.33:1, but the Blu-ray is in widescreen at 1.85:1. Hmm.
