    Creationists; what purpose does creationism have in a biology class?

    While I am an atheist I'm not against creationism being taught in a religious class (in the UK we have something called Religious Studies) but why should it be taught as a controversy when it has no evidence to support it and why shouldn't the thousands of other supposed claims to our origins...
