I am using <!--#include virtual="bottom2.html"--> in my web site, without any .htaccess file. but in its subdomain, it is not working. Can anybody help?

I just started my carrier with PHP as a fresher. I am happy with the current job. But what about the future of PHP? I want to do max in my field. I have done java also. but not exp in any lang. So, can somebody guide me, which option is better for future prespective, PHP or java? as rright now...
