Not really. I'm in a fairly heavy Sprint area and hitting 2.5mbps on a rev A device. Let's be realistic here, not enough Sprint subscribers to call it "congested" let alone 4G customers.

This. You don't need to turn wifi on and off. It'll automatically switch to wifi when you come within range of a known wifi network. Otherwise, it'll use the mobile data network. It's clever enough to not need an on/off setting :)
