yea like troy says jump the fan direct as for the switch or did you changge the sensor and try buy-passing that now im not shure but the thermo cant be put in oppisite way of flow ???

i missed your intro but i kinda got it when the #1 is @ tdc bolth valves on #1 will be closed and you can ck it on the har. balancer timing marks abt 5%- hope you got the spark plugs out and w/ you want too ck is tdc in #1 i pencil or a dowell will wk and make shure its long to feel the piston...

yea you got a lot of plastic schrouding under the hood if you look at the the top of the rad. you will see a hose its like 5/16 or so follow it and you will find a overflow resivor and ther will be a cap there above it
