    my dodge is having trouble shifting into 3rd gear?

    i have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 with a automatic transmission, it has trouble geting into 3rd gear, it DOESNT grind or anything. it will only go in when i let off the gas and then give it gas. what do you think the problem is? and can you give a a general price to have it repaired?
