    in photography, i look at pictures and see stuff like : 85mm- 200 , and 12mm-...

    ...50mm ... WHAT DOES THAT MEAN ?!!? i know it has something to do with the lens , but is 85mm-200 and 12mm-50mm , like DIFFERENT TYPES OF LENS ? or does that mean the length of the lens ?
