What can I do about my puppy? My dad was stroking him on his back whilst he was eating which is what we've always done so he doesn't get too protective over food, and he moved his hand near his neck and then my pup started really growling. We took the food off him and waited till he calmed down...

My puppy still needs his 2nd vaccines and we have to wait an extra week on top of that so he will be around 14 weeks. Is this a little old for a puppy, or just the right age? Obviously I wouldn't take him out any sooner because I don't want him ill but I'm just wondering :)
