OK so it updated something...but when it tried to install firmware 500..... it automatically disconnects. It looks as though it downloads the update then hangs when installation occurs. I'm gonna take a break and drink a pot of coffee, I need a break. Will hit it again in an hour or 2.
Well I don't want to downgrade so I would never get T-mobile. I dislike the support you get with google. I hate verizons business practices and I'm happy with my iPhone right now so I'll be ok.

If you just want to share PIM data, export the data from the existing user profile in Palm Desktop as archives, then import the archives into the respective components of Palm Desktop for other (new) user names. Your PIM data won't be automatically kept up-to-date between the different user...
