I have a 1991 Sonoma with the 4.3 v6. Has about 200k on it, but me and the previous owner drove it hard. Burnouts, doing donuts in fields, and flooring it at every green light. Shakes idling even after a complete tune up, but doesn't miss when you are moving. It holds 40lbs of oil pressure cold...
My friend thinks the 2.8 is a higher revving engine, and the 4.3 is more of a low rev torque engine. I am trying to explain to him the pros and cons of both. Anyone have any input on these 2 engines?
