    Can the Battle of Antietam be classified as the Bloodiest Day in American History?

    Or does it have to be classified as the Bloodiest Single-Day Battle in U.S. History, cause I can't think of any other day that was bloodier on the U.S. than Antietam. Even days of battles I can't think of any certain day of a battle that was worse than Antietam. Anyone care to share an answer?

    Here's what I have: 1) Battle of Antietam 2) Pearl Harbor 3) D-Day/Normandy Landings 4) 9/11 5) Virginia Tech Massacre Does that sound about right? Please add to it if you can! Note: I meant only battles/events that lasted only a day, not like a 1 day of a battle.
