the 6 creative days in Genesis were not 6 24-hour days. the bible talks about days many times as periods of time. (in the lord's day, he's not going to be here for 24 hours and leave.) in this case, it's 6 periods of time, possibly billions of years each.

it is legal (maybe) although it could be dangerous. the plastic cover is what gives the light it's color and makes it brighter, so it might not be as easy to see by people behind you.
