Like I said, it just depends. Some tapes have copy-protection and others don't. You just won't know until you try it. Lacking any standalone recording units, I do mine the crude (and more time-consuming) way: I play the tape in my VCR while recording it to my camcorder, then from my camcorder...

Well, the only Disney ressurections that I've seen recently enough to remember in detail worked well enough. Meg from Hercules was saved through the use of magical superpowers, which was clearly possible within the rules of that universe. Snow White was also revived through magic, so again...

Given how much repetition there is nowadays on channels like CN and Nickelodeon, I think a channel of this type could work, even with a perceived lack of available material. If they realistically wanted to do it, I'm sure they could acquire other properties to fill out the schedule.
