Which type of smartphone do you suggest?

What do you need the device to do and how do you plan to use it? Have you done any research yourself? What features are important? I assume that you are staying with Bell?

Using native Nokia VoIP client - particularly with les.net / voip.ms

I got a Nokia E63 recently and was excited to find out it has a built-in VoIP client. Since my provider (Rogers) allows VoIP (and it would work on WiFi too of course) I'd like to configure this. I have accounts at les.net and voip.ms, and have an ATA at home and a client on my iPhone...

    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

You don't iunderstand it because I didn't list the QWERTY keyboard. I've been wanting a QWERTY slider for years now, but my only options were Windows Mobile. ps: allegiance to nokia? nope True, all of my phones have been Nokia, but i make informed choices. Since January I've been hesitating...

Own a couple smartphones - should i try the n8?

Wow! All of the iPhone users jumped out of the wood work to answer this thread. One point people do forget is the over all ownership cost of a N8 over an iPhone is quite alot.

Hot rumor: The Nokia N8 with Symbian^3

Yeah I mean it isn't hard to just make all of this stuff up and have it sound official. Even if this is fake though, I'm sure a lot of these specs will be the same as the actual device.

    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia N97

N85 for sure. Great for multimedia: VGA vid recording, playback via TV - both at 30fps. Gaming - consider Jeemote BT remote joystick control for NGage The One. Great camera - a lot better than what E71 can do. If not then either wait for N86 or N97 if you have the ducket$ for it.

History of Cartoon Violence (Warning: Adult Content)

I agree. I expected the article to be about the decline in realistic violence in cartoons since the mid-late 90's and early 00's (which is when realistic violence/suspense/danger in children's cartoons hit its peak) to now. Instead it was about comedic violence, which I don't think is really in...

    SBEmail #175 - "concert"

I'll admit it, I listen to bands that are kind of "Sloshy"ish more than I listen to bands that are "Limozeen"ish. But I DO listen to Slayer, Metallica, and Pantera sometimes :P

    Villains that steal the show

Man, there are so many of them, so I'll list here the ones I can think of right off the bat: Tai Lung, from Kung Fu Panda- When I took my little cousin to watch this movie, I admit I went in with zero expectations. I was not disappointed, and even today refuse to watch the sequel. And yet in...

Toon Zone Talkback - "A Life in Voice Acting" with Bob Bergen

Very insightful interview. No matter what type of actor (voice-over, television, film) they all have similar struggles. BTW, I always wondered why Noel decided not to carry on for his father. Looking forward to part 2.
