I wanted to make the outside rim of my grille chrome so I figured I'd try this. I sprayed it on and it looked shiny, but not a chrome finish. I'm spraying a black plastic grille. Is that the cause of it not being chrome like they say, or am I doing something else wrong?
Please help.

I have a Mazda Protege, kind of on the small side. It's a light tan color, they call it Sand Mica, and I want to paint it a nice dark, metallic blue. About how much would this job cost to do?
