I have a couple of ideas for writing several books but I just need to know what is the best target audience? could it be middle aged adults, or young adults like 16 and 17?

I already have ideas and stuff like that but the hardest thing for some reason for me is picking names for my characters. If there is anyone that has some type of system for picking out names for their characters can u please help, or if anyone just tells me how they do it. It would really help...
