I was told years ago about a word Native Americans used for the Texas Panhandle that translated to -crazy winds- because the wind there would literally make them go insane, it was non-stop and they had no relief. I believe it was an Apache word, but I'm not certain. Any idea?

My brain is a little frazzled and I'm trying to remember some old songs. What songs do you remember?
