as mentioned it could be because the cat is missing and the ecu is picking up a strange reading from the (oh two) sensor or the maf or map sensors are bad that would normally throw a code sorry for the crappy typing my shift key is screwed up but i can still make faces! : )

As long as you get a 12V car battery you'll be good, some vary in shape and size (slightly), any brand will work but I prefer Optima brand. (its worth the xtra $$$)

you could have installed the wrong size orifice tube, a line could have beed kinked or restricted, or it was overcharged.
