yesterday i was driving down the road and i hit a bumpy strip and my 97 Grand cherokee immediately died i put it in neatral and tried restarting it, it turns over and everything but won't start it has fuel what else could be wrong?

i have a 1997 jeep grand cherokee laredo straight six 4x4 and everytime i turn left at all and accelate the car startis dying and doesnt respond at all then when you straighten the wheel out its back to normal what can cause this it only happons when you turn left right is fine. any ideas?
