1) enough compartments to keep thinks organized, but not so many that i can't find everything. also must be large enough to fit my books 2)a heavy canvas (i think) something durable 3)2 straps 4)i prefer dark neutrals so that it goes with everything. so grays, browns, navys, and blacks 5)...
