Can you explain a bit more exactly what you did to get it booted up? I now have an RMA and return UPS label emailed to me from Newegg, plus they are already sending me a replacement N8. But if there's anyway to get this to boot I'll see if I can cancel the replacement before it's shipped. .

I am gunna see if NCIX will pricematch neweggs price, and if so i'll get em to bring me one in :) that way i can drive over and pick it up hehe.

Your comparing an a standard N97 to a hacked 3gs, is that really fair? I dont think so. Firstly average joe doesn't hack any handset, and the ability of a hacked handset is only limited by the determination of the hackers to hack that device.

True, but i can't agree that the N86 takes good night shots. passable, yes. but i'm not paying $599 for passable.

Having a 3rd party app on Android to do one thing isn't the same as having to jailbreak, break warranty and then get a third party app from a non approved site on the iPhone to do another.

I was wondering if other people remembered this...
