For the past 8 hours i have had a sharp pain in my left eye when i blink. I don't know what it is, i looked in my eye and have found nothing in it. I wear glasses and i have contacts but i haven't worn my contacts in a while. What could it be that's hurting my eye so much? what should i do?

i'm going to buy a Dell Inspiron 560 Quad core computer, my mum has a packard bell monitor 18.5 inch thats about 3 years old. Will it work with a new computer from a different company? Should i get a younger monitor? i dont have any software with the monitor, i just have the monitor
