...that true for you? I have had four kids and never had any sharp pains during contractions; just a dull ache. Isn't there anyone else that did not have any sharp pains during labor?

I discussed it on the first visit because I wanted a doctor who was in favor of my birth plan and talking about it right away gave me plenty of time to change doctors. Actually, parts of my birth plan I talked about with the nurse even before my first appointment.

I don't think it is hot flashes. When it happens, not only do I feel hot, but I get white as a sheet. My hands and feet also get tingly. Hot flashes don't make you pale, do they?
