I have and old tv that has just one socket, for the antenna. Can I connect the antenna from the tv to the dvd player and another antenna from the player to the antenna socket on the wall? I'm so bad with this devices... thanks!

I'm looking for a present for my dad that works in a construction job-site. He's all the time in the street in winter too, but he's moving all the time so it has to be comfortable... What brand is the best? (I only know Carhartt) And what about the model/style??? Thanks everyone!
