I heard if u use and older version of limewire it still works? Which would b the latest working version? Has anyone tested this?

I just got an iPhone 4 and i unlocked i wanted T-mobile for there un limited internet for $39.99 a month but when i put the chip in it will not work on 3G. Store they said that 3G only works on there phones but i am sure there has to be a way to make it work. I am unlocked and Jailbroken plz hlp.
