as for right now, the NAM versions are ALL the gray/silver variant and red/blue are EURO. This might change later but thats how it is for now.

True. I see the N71's direct competition being the BlackBerry. The dealbreaker is that with the Nokia, a special data plan a la the BIS/BES plan isn't necessary...so you save $20 or so a month over the BB plan on AT&T at least...and no outages to worry about, either ;)
