Can a recumbent bike help me get a 6 pack?

Cycling will NOT spot reduce. It will burn fat on a proportionate level all over. To get 6 pack abs - you need to work on the core muscles. OK?

Is a clean and polished bicycle faster than a dirty bike?

A clean bicycle is a happy bicycle. :) :) Therefore it goes faster.

What is a good road bike pump for around $25-$40?

Are you using the pump correctly? With ANY bicycle floor pump you need to push down firmly on the air chuck to seat it properly on the valve. Then flip the lever up. When done, you have to remember to move the lever back again. Either pump you mentioned should work. Heck...all I have is a...

Best Road Bike with Pannier Rack Fitting?

For going on long journeys with added weight, your typical "road bike" won't cut it. It can't take the weight - period. For long journeys with panniers & extra clothes, emergency equipment, food , etc. - there is only ONE type of bike to have. A "touring road bike". Many come with rear racks...

What is the normal price to have a bent bicycle rim fixed?

It's called wheel "truing". A shop "trues" up the wheel if a few spokes are out of adjustment. If the wheel is bent - it's history.

which is the better bicycle? A new Schwinn Midmoor or a 2007 KHS TC 150?

Actually - neither bike would be good for a commute of 20 to 30 miles per day. "Comfort" bicycles are for shorter trips (One to Ten miles - tops). But...if I had to choose - the KHS!!! This link...

    Proper Bikes sizes need it?

Only way to know for sure... TRY B4 you BUY! Bicycle sizing is NOT universal. Kinda like buying clothes or shoes. Each company will vary slightly compared to others. And you never stated what STYLE of bicycle. Sizing guideline linked below. Remember - this is only a "guideline" - not...

Looking for a good bicycle for daily commutes. Any suggestions?

Fenders can be easily added after the sale. And disc brakes are only needed for extreme conditions. I would suggest a performance hybrid from one of the major companies. Make sure it has a "cassette" rear sprocket & not the cheaper & out-dated "freewheel" - mostly found on 21 speed bikes. (3...

How much should my bicycle tires be inflated too?

"Should it be close to the minimum recommend pressure?" NOPE. Exactly the opposite. Inflate to at or close to the maximum recommended psi. Never go above that point. Yes...it will ride a little stiffer. It will also roll more efficiently. I would recommend at least 60 psi.

Check your bottom bracket (crank bearings) for any play. If you find any - replace the bottom bracket.

    First Road Bike Help**?

If you have an R.E.I. store around, their "outlet" website often has close out sales on some bikes which may be a year or two old, but still new & never ridden. Or even a 2011 Raleigh Revenio 1.0 for $649.00 is a hell-of-a good price. 2nd link.

    Vagabond 27" road bicycle?

Most likely made by one of the major companies, like Giant, and sold in a dept. store. 27" is the size of the tires, not the size of the bike. Common misconception. Bikes are measured by their frame size - not wheel size.

    bicycle rim question?

Why not buy a new bike with a flip/flop hub? All you need do is take off the back wheel & flip it over to change from a single speed to a fixed gear & back again. See link below.

Bicycle Chain Oil vs. Chain Saw Oil?

It's been tossed around this site that chain saw lubricant (bar oil) is just as good as bicycle chain lube (oil). In a word...crap. I bought a gallon jug & a small 2 oz. squeeze bottle. The next time I needed to lube my chain, I got out that small bottle only to find out it was SOOOO thick...

HELP! I don't know what's wrong with my mountain bike :(?

You stated, "This fixed the problem temporarily but it started happening again like a month later." Of course it's going to start all over again a month later. That's about how long it takes for a cable to stretch. It's a simple tension adjustment you can do yourself. See video link below...
