    Hey Brrrrbzy I actually found that the problem had nothing to do with the items I uninstalled as the problem started up again and I would solve it by launching my phone untethered (without jailbreak apps), sending a message and then booting it up tethered again. Since your phone is jailbroken...

    I agree, it would be understandable if the 3rd party providers needed time to update their servers to support iOS 5. However apple's iCloud email should work out of the box.
