Example. let's say I flatten layers, then close file. Is there anyway to make photoshop remember the history when I open file again so i can un-flatten the file?

I'm researching the highest quality products made in China like iPhone, semiconductors, etc and low quality products made in America.

I know the obvious thing that black absorbs more but is there any proof or research with test data that supports this?
