no marks on the bodywork, the one owner is a middle aged guy who gives the impression he is a careful driver, 51,000 miles backed up by sequence of MOTs. Will a car this age be in line for expensive repairs like shock absorbers etc.
Only Toyota designers know this! It a bit like looking down a periscope and the speedo cannot be easily seen by the passenger. Bit of a drag for driving schools!
I have a yaris and the speedo functions OK though. Good visibility of speedo for driver-- not impeded by steering wheel spokes.
Get this car straight around to the dealer and complain in writing, keep a copy of the letter if this continues to happen after they have fixed the fault you may be in a position to reject it.
