    How do you correct the default shutter speed for the sports mode on the Nikon D3000?

    My Nikon D3000 isn't defaulting to the fast shutter speed for sports mode (i.e. 1/6000). Instead, when I set it to the sports mode, the shutter speed defaults to 1/8 and the pictures are all blurry. I just got the Nikon D3000 and I can't figure out how to change the default setting.
