    Was iPod touch 2G designed to use Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic?

    It says the Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic are compatible with iPod touch 2G on Apple's store website, so I bought the earphones for my iPod touch 2G to play Talking Tom Cat, but Tom couldn't hear me. What's wrong? Was the earphones jack on iPod touch 2G even designed to use the earphones?
