How far along do you need to be for a blood test to show you are pregnant?

I unhooked my battery to install a new stereo and when I hook up the battery my alarm went off. I got it to stop, however, the alarm light on my dashboard keeps blinking. When it blinks the new stereo doesn't work. Any advise?
