There is a provision in one of the versions of the bill which exempts people whose health care plans are provided to them as a result of collective bargaining from being taxed on that plan. That means union employees. It's definite political payback to SEIU, et al.

He doesn't. He had a sweet deal in place to give the UAW a 55% stake (which they, as an unsecured creditor, don't deserve). Maybe if Chrysler made cars that were reliable and that people actually liked, they would not be in this position.
