My thoughts exactly - I too had a rather early model with R1A. Horrible speed everywhere. The new revision I got (R6C005) made it act like a different phone totally! And at least around here, if the warranty is still on, you can get the firmware upgrade for free at a SE shop.

That looks quite interesting... and with memorystick duo it may actually be usable. I'd sort of like to see some more built-in memory, since it is being adveritsed as music player/phone hybrid, 32 MB seems very little!
